Contemporary Art Gallery in Venice, CA with a robust 40 year history needed an organizational overhaul to bring all contents of their rich archival collections into one centralized and accessible system.
Arranged the logistical and organizational transfer of archival and library materials from storage facilities to a central customized archival storage and library center
Worked with a team of interns to process 40 years of correspondence records which we migrated to a vertical filing system for seamless retrieval. The archive is actively used to provide in-depth provenance and exhibition history for publishing, marketing, and special projects in a sustainable system that will ensure the collection is preserved and available to researchers for years to come.
Managed the design and construction of a 1,188-linear-foot-capacity mobile storage unit, 674-linear-foot-library and 90-linear-foot capacity reading room to house the archive in one system acting as the project manager and liaison between the architect, gallery stakeholders and shelving vendors.
